How to make a pizza in the microwave
The preparation process of a mug pizza is really easy, and the cooking process is even simpler. The first step of preparation is measuring all of your ingredients and choosing the mug in which you will prepare the dish. We recommend one with a fairly wide mouth.
Once you have chosen your mug, you should add all of the dry ingredients. This includes the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder, and salt.
Once they have all been added to the mug you should mix thoroughly with a spoon until all of the ingredients are well combined. You want to ensure that there are no clumps of flour around the outside of the mug and that the ingredients look combined.
Following that, you should add the wet ingredients, including the milk and olive oil. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until thoroughly combined.
We recommend using a knife to combine the wet and dry ingredients as this is the utensil that mixes the best.
After you are confident that the wet and dry ingredients are mixed, you can move on to the base of your pizza. You should add the tomato sauce topping to the mug, ensuring that it is spread evenly atop the existing mixture.
Once you are happy with your tomato base, you can then add the cheese. Sprinkle this all over the tomato sauce in an even layer.
Add your sprinkle of oregano, then place the mug in the microwave. You should heat the mixture in the microwave for one minute (60 seconds).
Once the timer goes, take the mug out of the microwave. Be careful when handling the mug as it will likely grow hot during the time spent in the microwave. You should then add your pepperoni topping to the pizza.
Spread the pepperoni evenly or in your favorite design before placing the mug back in the microwave. You should heat the mug for a further 15 seconds to allow the pepperoni to heat through.
After the timer rings, take the mug out of the microwave and leave to stand. The cheese should be melting and bubbly. If necessary, heat for an additional 10-15 seconds.
The mixture inside the mug will be extremely hot, and at far too high a temperature to eat immediately.
You should leave the meal to cool for 2-3 minutes before attempting to eat it. If you try to eat it and it is still too hot, leave it to cool for a while longer. Once you are content that the pizza has cooled enough to eat, simply sit back and enjoy.
This meal is stress-free to make and a yummy alternative to other quick meals you may make.
As we mentioned, you can easily replace the pepperoni with different toppings, including both meat and vegetables, to make the perfect pizza for you.
Whether it be an after school snack for your kids or a hassle-free lunch on a busy workday, a mug pizza can be a great and easy option.
Summary
This recipe provides a quick and easy way to cook a meal which is sometimes viewed as difficult and complex.
Whether it be as a full meal, a light snack, or just because you really fancy a pizza but don’t have the effort, a mug meal can be a great way to solve all these problems.
